State Land Use Plan
The State Land Use Plan has been developed and is maintained based on cooperation with the political subdivisions of the State in accordance with Utah Code 63J-4-603. While the State does complete resource plans on a state level for such broad issues as transportation, watersheds, wildlife resources, and projected conversion of agricultural lands to developed uses, much of the land use planning in the State occurs at the local municipal and county level. The State Planning Coordinator recognizes the local county and municipal governments as having land use planning authority for their jurisdictions. Links to their plans, where available, can be accessed by clicking on the county of interest on the map at left.
